A reminder from Patrick Henry
Just over 250 years ago, Patrick Henry gave a passionate speech in which he said—and I quote—“Give me better marketing or give me death.”
I’m pretty sure it was something like that.
I mean, if you want to be picky, okay…he may have used the word “liberty” somewhere in that sentence.
But any small business owner will tell you it’s basically the same thing.
Bad marketing feels like death.
With ineffective marketing, you’re the opposite of free.
Yesterday, as I reflected on Patrick Henry’s timeless marketing wisdom—and America’s 249th birthday coming up in six weeks—I had an idea.
If you’re like 99% of all small business owners (myself included) you've got at least one marketing issue that makes you wince, groan, and slump in your chair.
It could be a marketing process that’s just not working. Or some marketing collateral that doesn’t exist (but needs to).
Well, consider this…
What if, by Independence Day, you had that one pesky marketing issue checked off your to-do list?
And what if you found yourself entering the second half of 2025 with more effective marketing?
Picture it. It’s July 3, and you’ve got:
A more coherent marketing strategy (and one that’s actually doable)
A clear brand message that attracts the right audience
Words on your website that explain the customer problem you solve and make people want to click
An email sales campaign that gets results
An email or social media content calendar for the remainder of the year
A series of LinkedIn posts that demonstrate your expertise to potential clients
In my calendar (between now and July 3), I’ve got just enough room to help six clients with projects like these.
So…if you’d like to FINALLY get that nagging marketing issue handled, reach out. Click below. Let’s get it scheduled and DONE.
Because, as Ben Franklin (another Founding Father who was a marketing genius), put it, “Well done is better than well said.”
(Seriously. He did say that. And he was 100% right.)
